After one year in Osaka, Japan, I have returned to Sunny South Florida.

So much has happened over the last year. From August 22, 2014 to August 18, 2015 I lived in Osaka, Japan and attend college at Kansai Gaidai. I also had the chance while there to visit other countries in Asia; Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and India. Unfortunately I ended up being too busy to post the way I had hoped to on this blog.

As I have now returned to South Florida I will slowly be posting all of the amazing experiences I had while abroad as well as my new experiences that are about to begin.

  • My most successful days were each time I have graduated college and walked the stage.  FIT's graduation ceremony at Radio City Music Hall was my favorite to date.  Bill Cosby was our guest speaker.  He did a boasting comedic speech about how us fashion people make the world a more beautiful place to live in and keep us humans from walking around naked.  Everyone laughed when he said that.

  • The greatest risk I ever took was when I climbed Mt. Masada in Israel and kayaked and body rafted down the Jordan River.
  • The worst thing that ever happened to me was when I was coming home from far out in Brooklyn ( I only lived in NY maybe a month at this point) on the subway at like 2am and a bum came and sat across the way from me even though the whole car was completely empty.  He was creeping me out staring at me, so when we got to the next stop I pretended to get off and got back on in the next car.  Just as the door was closing a hand got stuck in the door.  It was like a scary movie.  The doors opened back up and the same bum walked in the car.  I was freaking out inside.  This time he came and sat right next to me.  I kept staring out the window just hoping he would leave me alone.  A stop later someone else walked into the car at the other end and drew his attention away from me.  He got up and moved closer to them.  Then a young guy and couple other people got on.  I felt so bad for the young guy because he then became the next target.  The bum walked up to him and asked him for money.  The guy said I don't have any.  The bum started to get in his face.  You can tell the guy was a little scared so he tried to get up and walk away but the bum stood in front of him and stopped him.  Then the bum tried to put his hands into the guys pockets.  Thank god at that point we hit Union Square where there were a lot more people.  The guy got off and the bum followed.  I am really not sure what happened after that.  I am just glad that ended well for me and nothing even remotely close to that ever happened again.
  • The last thing I purchased was food.
