After one year in Osaka, Japan, I have returned to Sunny South Florida.

So much has happened over the last year. From August 22, 2014 to August 18, 2015 I lived in Osaka, Japan and attend college at Kansai Gaidai. I also had the chance while there to visit other countries in Asia; Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and India. Unfortunately I ended up being too busy to post the way I had hoped to on this blog.

As I have now returned to South Florida I will slowly be posting all of the amazing experiences I had while abroad as well as my new experiences that are about to begin.

Welcome to my first post...

Life has been a crazy ride up to this point.  I moved back to South Florida January of 2013.  In June, I decided to go back to college and in August I started attending Florida International University in Miami.  I knew that study abroad was something I wanted to do from the moment I applied.  I spent the next two semesters attending classes full time, applying to scholarships, the study abroad program, acquiring recommendations and volunteering for an animal rights group.  Then I added working with Winter Music Conference during the Spring semester to the madness.  I had a blast as always working with Kirk and the crew.

I was then and am now always busy doing something.  I had to keep a 3.0 gpa in order to even qualify to keep my grant and study abroad.  I managed to get through both semesters with a 3.7 gpa.  I found out I was accepted in March of 2014 to study abroad my senior year at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata-shi, Osaka, Japan.  Every moment has now been about preparing myself for the move to Japan.

Now it's the summer of 2014 and I couldn't just sit around and hang out, so I have been filling my time with a Japanese language class and working with Florida Supercon.  The event just completed this past weekend and what an amazing event it was; 40,000 attendees at the Miami Beach Convention Center over 4 days.  I couldn't be prouder of the group of people I worked with that helped make it a success.  My role as Asian Outreach, Shuttle and partially Press Coordinator was role(s) that made me ecstatic to be involved.  I have made so many great friendships that I hope will last a lifetime.

Now to finish the summer semester and say good bye to everyone before I hop on to a plane August 21st to Japan.

Here are a few pics from the Supercon adventure:
